Germany
After showing competitive pace throughout the weekend at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, Lennox Lehmann came away with two podium finishes and strengthened his position in the EURO MOTO Supersport Championship. The Team Apreco Yamaha rider secured second place in both races and remains third in the overall standings, now on 124 points, just 19 points behind championship leader Daniel Blin.
Lehmann immediately established himself among the frontrunners, qualifying fourth on the grid with a best lap of 1:27.418. Although he narrowly missed the front row, his race pace throughout the weekend proved to be among the strongest in the field aboard the Yamaha R9.

Strong comeback in Race One
Race One initially did not unfold as planned. After losing valuable time in the opening laps while battling through traffic, Lehmann had to recover from fourth position. Once clear, his pace was consistently among the fastest on track and he steadily reeled in the leaders.
By the chequered flag, the German crossed the line in second place, only 1.946 seconds behind teammate Dirk Geiger, while setting a fastest race lap of 1:27.077.
“The weekend was good overall. We had strong pace throughout. In qualifying I didn’t quite put everything together on one lap, but that was okay. In the first race I lost a lot of time in the opening laps because I got stuck in traffic after being overtaken early. Once I got through, our speed was really good.”

Heartbreak in the final lap despite leading Race Two
Sunday’s second race looked set to deliver Lehmann’s first victory of the weekend. After another excellent start, he spent several laps leading the race and controlled the pace at the front.
However, in an intense final-lap battle, Daniel Blin managed to make the decisive move, leaving Lehmann to finish just 0.034 seconds behind at the finish line after fifteen laps. Despite narrowly missing victory, he again demonstrated outstanding race pace, recording a fastest lap of 1:26.973.
“The second race was similar. Right from the beginning we had really good pace and I was able to lead several laps. Unfortunately we couldn’t quite finish it off in the last lap and bring home the win. That’s disappointing, but we’ll have another chance.”

Championship fight remains wide open
With another consistent weekend and 40 championship points collected, Lehmann continues to build momentum in the title fight. While teammate Dirk Geiger and Daniel Blin remain directly ahead, the Oschersleben performance once again underlined the competitiveness of the Yamaha R9 and the Team Apreco Yamaha package heading into the second half of the season.
“Overall I’m really happy with the weekend. Considering I was riding with the injured finger, I honestly expected it to be much more difficult. I had to adapt my braking style quite a bit, so I’m very satisfied with how everything worked out.”
