Consistency had been one of the defining factors of Lennox Lehmann’s EURO MOTO season so far. Arriving at Most after four consecutive podium finishes, the German rider and Team APRECO were determined to continue their strong momentum aboard the Yamaha R9.
Lehmann immediately proved he had the pace to fight at the front once again, qualifying second with a lap time of 1:35.113, just 0.256 seconds shy of pole position.

Fifth consecutive podium in SSP Race 1
Starting from the front row, Lehmann remained inside the leading group throughout SSP Race 1. While Dirk Geiger created a gap during the opening laps, Lehmann managed the race well and secured another comfortable podium finish.
He crossed the finish line in second place, 5.811 seconds behind the winner, while recording a fastest lap of 1:36.118.
“My first two laps weren’t ideal and the gap to Dirk became a bit too big to close again,” Lehmann explained. “After that it was quite a lonely race, but I’m happy with another podium.”
The result marked Lehmann’s fifth consecutive podium finish to start the season.
“I’m happy with the fifth consecutive podium this season and I’m looking forward to Race 2, even in these hot conditions. We’ll try to go one better.”

Technical issue ends strong weekend in SSP Race 2
Lehmann looked set to fight for another podium in SSP Race 2. Shortly after the start, however, his race came to an unexpected end due to a mechanical issue. Fortunately, Race 2 was not restarted due to multiple red flags, meaning no championship points were awarded.
“It’s a shame to end the weekend like that. Until then we were fast, I enjoyed the bike and we already secured the podium yesterday. We wanted to do it again.”

Focus already on the next challenge
Although the weekend ended in disappointment, Lehmann once again demonstrated the pace required to fight at the front of the EURO MOTO Supersport field.
With 84 championship points, Lennox Lehmann remains third in the EURO MOTO Supersport standings, 19 points behind championship leader Dirk Geiger, as the championship heads next to Oschersleben.
