For Max Stauffer, the third round of the EURO MOTO Sportbike Championship marked another important learning opportunity. The Australian arrived at Most for his first-ever laps around the challenging Czech circuit, continuing to build experience aboard the Yamaha R7 with Team APRECO.
Despite having no previous experience at Most, Stauffer settled in quickly and continued to improve throughout the weekend. Qualifying resulted in P12 on the grid with a best lap of 1:42.123, leaving him less than two seconds away from pole position in the highly competitive Sportbike field.

Red flags cut short Sportbike Race 1
Sportbike Race 1 never developed into a full race after two separate red-flag incidents interrupted the action.
With the race unable to reach the required distance, no championship points were awarded, denying Stauffer another valuable opportunity to continue his progress in race conditions.
Despite the frustration, the team shifted its focus immediately towards Sunday and Sportbike Race 2.

Technical issue ends weekend before Sportbike Race 2
Unfortunately, Sunday’s race never got underway for Stauffer.
A technical issue discovered before the start forced the Australian to withdraw from Sportbike Race 2 before taking to the grid, ending his weekend prematurely.
“Unfortunately, our day was finished before it even started,” Stauffer explained. “We had a minor issue with the bike, so that concludes our day. It’s quite unfortunate because I think we could have achieved our best result so far in this class.”
Despite the disappointment, Stauffer was quick to praise the work of the team.
“I just want to thank Team APRECO for all their efforts and for continuing to work hard for me. We’re not going to give up, we’ll keep fighting and move on to Oschersleben to try again for a strong result.”

Focus already on Oschersleben
Although Most ended without the opportunity to score points, the weekend once again showed encouraging progress in Stauffer’s adaptation to the Yamaha R7. His qualifying performance underlined the progress being made, even if circumstances prevented him from turning it into a race result.
With 15 championship points, Max Stauffer remains 17th in the EURO MOTO Sportbike Championship as the focus now shifts to the next round at Oschersleben.
